  14. CASINO CRAPS was designed to be fun and instructional.  Many features 
  15. are available, providing a stimulating environment for both advanced and 
  16. novice players.  Realistic graphics, sound, and complete wager control 
  17. make this game a must for anyone interested in the exciting game of 
  18. CRAPS!

  21. PLAYING CASINO CRAPS
  22.  
  23. When you start CASINO CRAPS, you are prompted to enter your name 
  24. and your initial bankroll.  If the name you enter is the same as in a 
  25. previously saved session, you will be asked to choose whether to resume 
  26. the saved session or start a new one.
  27.  
  28. Once in the game, your position is at the bottom of the table.
  29.  
  30. The drop-down Main Menu appears showing the various options, which can 
  31. be selected using either the mouse pointer or the keyboard arrow keys.
  32. Most of the choices have on-line help.  To access this additional 
  33. information, press the [H] key.

  41. THE MAIN MENU
  42.  
  43. The following choices appear on the Main Menu:
  44.  
  45. PASS/COME BET - Use this option to enter a bet on the pass line, or on 
  46. the come line if a point is already established.  The BET AMOUNT Window 
  47. appears where you choose the exact amount of your bet.
  48.  
  49. ODDS/PLACE/BUY - After a point is established, you may use this option 
  50. to take free odds, place or buy a number.  The HOUSE ADVANTAGE Window is 
  51. displayed after each wager is placed showing exactly the casino advantage for 
  52. that given wager.

  54. To take free odds, place the pointer on the green highlighted number (the 
  55. established point).  The odds bet entered is based on the number of odds 
  56. wagers allowed by your parameter (see OPTIONS Menu).

  58. Place and buy bets are entered by selecting any of the other points desired.

  61. FIELD BET - Use this option to place a wager on the FIELD.  With this 
  62. wager you bet that a field number (2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12) 
  63. will be thrown on the next roll.  Field bets on the 3, 4, 9, 10, 
  64. and 11 are even money wagers; for the 2 and 12, field bets 
  65. are paid at double odds.  This wager is good for a single roll only.

  67. HARD NUMBERS BET - Hard numbers refer to "pair" rolls (1 & 1, 2 & 2, 3 & 3, 
  68. 4 & 4, 5 & 5, and 6 & 6).  These bets win when the "hardway" number (pair) 
  69. comes up before an "easy" combination of the number (any non-pair combination)
  70. or a "7"  is thrown.  Hardway bets can be placed at any time by selecting this 
  71. option, and then the desired number(s) from the subsequent window.  The bet is 
  72. active for each roll until the number comes up the "hard" way (you win), the 
  73. "easy" way (you lose), or a "7" is thrown (you lose).

  75. CENTER TABLE BETS - These are one roll bets.  The bet is paid 
  76. immediately when the wagered point is made, or lost when 
  77. any other number is rolled.  Choose this option, then select 
  78. the desired number(s) from the subsequent window.

  81. OPTIONS MENU - This option allows you to change several features of 
  82. the game, as desired.  They are:

  85.         * Bet Options           * Wrong Way Bets
  86.         * Roll Techniques       * ODDS

  88. Each of these is documented as you highlight it, right on the 
  89. screen.  Feel free to review each of these, anytime, as you 
  90. navigate through the game.

  92. GAME DETAILS - Choose this option for a quick explanation of the keys 
  93. controlling the game.  In particular, please note the use of 
  94. [F1], [F2] and [F3] keys, which are not mouse-accessible.  
  95. These keys are available after the first roll.

  101. [F1] - This key displays a statistics table of the bets made, won and lost on 
  102.        the last roll of the dice.
  103. [F2] - This key will show a statistics table of the total number of bets, wins
  104.        and loses during the entire session.  The statistics are also shown in 
  105.        percentages of wins and loses.  Pressing the [SPACE BAR] allows you to
  106.        see the rest of the types of wagers tracked.
  107. [F3] - This key will show a statistics table similar to that shown by the [F2]
  108.        key, except that the numbers will be based on dollar amounts, rather 
  109.        than number of rolls.

  111. QUIT - This option ends your session, saving your bankroll and statistics 
  112. under the name you initially entered at the beginning of the game.

  114. ROLL DICE - After selecting one or more wagers, press this option to roll 
  115. the dice.  Pressing the [SPACE BAR] also rolls the dice.
