CASINO CRAPS was designed to be fun and instructional. Many features
are available, providing a stimulating environment for both advanced and
novice players. Realistic graphics, sound, and complete wager control
make this game a must for anyone interested in the exciting game of
CRAPS!
PLAYING CASINO CRAPS
When you start CASINO CRAPS, you are prompted to enter your name
and your initial bankroll. If the name you enter is the same as in a
previously saved session, you will be asked to choose whether to resume
the saved session or start a new one.
Once in the game, your position is at the bottom of the table.
The drop-down Main Menu appears showing the various options, which can
be selected using either the mouse pointer or the keyboard arrow keys.
Most of the choices have on-line help. To access this additional
information, press the [H] key.
THE MAIN MENU
The following choices appear on the Main Menu:
PASS/COME BET - Use this option to enter a bet on the pass line, or on
the come line if a point is already established. The BET AMOUNT Window
appears where you choose the exact amount of your bet.
ODDS/PLACE/BUY - After a point is established, you may use this option
to take free odds, place or buy a number. The HOUSE ADVANTAGE Window is
displayed after each wager is placed showing exactly the casino advantage for
that given wager.
To take free odds, place the pointer on the green highlighted number (the
established point). The odds bet entered is based on the number of odds
wagers allowed by your parameter (see OPTIONS Menu).
Place and buy bets are entered by selecting any of the other points desired.
FIELD BET - Use this option to place a wager on the FIELD. With this
wager you bet that a field number (2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12)
will be thrown on the next roll. Field bets on the 3, 4, 9, 10,
and 11 are even money wagers; for the 2 and 12, field bets
are paid at double odds. This wager is good for a single roll only.
HARD NUMBERS BET - Hard numbers refer to "pair" rolls (1 & 1, 2 & 2, 3 & 3,
4 & 4, 5 & 5, and 6 & 6). These bets win when the "hardway" number (pair)
comes up before an "easy" combination of the number (any non-pair combination)
or a "7" is thrown. Hardway bets can be placed at any time by selecting this
option, and then the desired number(s) from the subsequent window. The bet is
active for each roll until the number comes up the "hard" way (you win), the
"easy" way (you lose), or a "7" is thrown (you lose).
CENTER TABLE BETS - These are one roll bets. The bet is paid
immediately when the wagered point is made, or lost when
any other number is rolled. Choose this option, then select
the desired number(s) from the subsequent window.
OPTIONS MENU - This option allows you to change several features of
the game, as desired. They are:
* Message Delay * Sound
* Bet Options * Wrong Way Bets
* Roll Techniques * ODDS
Each of these is documented as you highlight it, right on the
screen. Feel free to review each of these, anytime, as you
navigate through the game.
GAME DETAILS - Choose this option for a quick explanation of the keys
controlling the game. In particular, please note the use of
[F1], [F2] and [F3] keys, which are not mouse-accessible.
These keys are available after the first roll.
[F1] - This key displays a statistics table of the bets made, won and lost on
the last roll of the dice.
[F2] - This key will show a statistics table of the total number of bets, wins
and loses during the entire session. The statistics are also shown in
percentages of wins and loses. Pressing the [SPACE BAR] allows you to
see the rest of the types of wagers tracked.
[F3] - This key will show a statistics table similar to that shown by the [F2]
key, except that the numbers will be based on dollar amounts, rather
than number of rolls.
QUIT - This option ends your session, saving your bankroll and statistics
under the name you initially entered at the beginning of the game.
ROLL DICE - After selecting one or more wagers, press this option to roll
the dice. Pressing the [SPACE BAR] also rolls the dice.
